Free three-pane MSG viewer
Open any .msg file without Outlook: rendered message, full headers, attachments, and the contact, calendar, task and note views. The viewer is free in every edition.
Turn a folder full of saved Outlook .msg files into PDFs for a case file, a PST you can open in Outlook, or EML and MBOX for any other mail client — with attachments, dates and folder structure intact. Open and read MSG files free, without Outlook.
Only formats that have passed our validation tests are listed. More are added as they pass.

Filter by date range, sender, recipient, subject, keywords, attachment type, size or item type, see the live match count, and save the filter as a preset.
Your folder hierarchy is recreated in the output, and files are named the way you choose — by date, subject, sender or a pattern of your own.
Large jobs checkpoint as they run. If the PC restarts, resume the job and it carries on from where it stopped, without writing anything twice.
Each job writes an HTML and JSON report and checks its own output, so you can prove what was converted — useful for legal, compliance and handover.
Source files are never modified. Conversion runs entirely on your PC; no mail is uploaded anywhere unless you choose to migrate to your own server.
Produce one searchable PDF per email with the header block, body and an attachment list — the format courts, auditors and clients ask for. Name each file by date and subject so the folder sorts itself.
Combine hundreds of loose MSG files into a single Unicode PST, with your folders preserved, ready to import into Outlook through File › Open & Export.
Move saved Outlook messages into Thunderbird, Apple Mail or any client that reads EML or MBOX, without installing Outlook on the machine.
Export sender, recipients, subject, dates and other fields to XLSX or CSV for review in a spreadsheet, or to JSON and XML for a script or an e-discovery tool.
Drag in .msg files or point at a folder; sub-folders are scanned too.
Choose the output, naming pattern and any filters — the count updates live.
Watch progress, then open the output folder and the job report.

No. SetuFlow MSG Converter reads the MSG format itself, so it converts and previews MSG files on a PC with no Outlook and no Office installed.
Yes. Mailbox formats such as PST, EML and MBOX keep attachments inside each message, and the attachment options let you decide how they are handled for document formats such as PDF.
Yes — filter by date range, sender, recipient, subject, keywords, attachment presence or type, size and item type, and the converter shows how many items match before you start.
Messages encrypted with S/MIME or protected with IRM cannot be read without the recipient's key, so they are reported rather than converted. PDF output does not yet shape right-to-left or Indic scripts correctly; use HTML or DOCX for those.
The Free edition is free forever, with a limit of 25 items per conversion job. Professional removes the limit. Your licence key is checked offline on your own PC, so the converter keeps working without an internet connection and nothing about your mail is ever sent to us.
No. The converter is desktop software: it reads the file on your disk and writes the result to a folder you choose. Your source file is opened read-only and never changed. The only time data leaves the PC is if you choose to upload to your own mail server in the Business edition.
